AIRMI News is a newsletter and website operated by Aiden Hodgson ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information is collected when you use airminews.com or subscribe to the newsletter, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the only personal information we ask for is your email address, we use it only to send you the newsletter, and we never sell it.
Email address. When you subscribe, you provide your email address. That is the only personal information we ask for, and providing it is entirely voluntary.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like virtually all web hosts, may process standard technical data when you visit (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not run any analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we do not use this data to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Theme preference. If you toggle dark mode, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
Your email address is used for one purpose: delivering AIRMI News issues to your inbox. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing.
Newsletter delivery is handled by Buttondown, our email service provider, which processes subscriber email addresses on our behalf and may process standard email engagement information in accordance with the Buttondown Privacy Policy.
Unsubscribe. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and requires no explanation.
Access or deletion. You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you (it will be your email address) or ask us to delete it entirely. Email airminews@gmail.com and we will handle it promptly. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you additional data rights (such as the EU/EEA under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may exercise those rights through the same address.
AIRMI News is written for insurance and risk management professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the address.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the site or subscription after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
